Man, that's sucks. How does NASA manage this situation if the tropical strom or hurrcane landed at KSC, and how do they protect the rockets and the space shuttles from damage?

Atlantis's targeted launch date is on October 8th.

Currently there is not a shuttle out at the launch pad. If there were a situation like that, they would roll the shuttle back to the Vehicle Assembly Building. Currently they are constantly assessing the area for flooding and debris. I believe everyone will be allowed back to work tomorrow...but that's still a "maybe".
